ACLGA Exhibition A Big Success!!
The ACLGA opened its 2012 season with a 9-hole exhibition this past Saturday, April 14th with Futures Tour player Lauren Hunt visiting Anderson Creek. The afternoon started with an exhibition on the range as Lauren hit some practice shots for the spectators in attendance and talked on a variety of subjects including life on tour, player/caddie relationships, and how to read putts.
Lauren teamed with Anderson Creek General Manager Jon Hockaday to lead the ACLGA to a one-shot victory over the men’s team with a 5 under par 31 on the front nine. The men’s team got off to a fast start with birdies on the first 4 holes and a 2 shot lead, but a bogey at the 5th and 3 straight birdies by the ACLGA team proved to be the difference.
ACLGA and Anderson Creek Members pledged money for each birdie made during the 9 holes and a total of 10 birdies led to $489 being raised for the ACLGA charities. Thanks to Lauren the ACLGA, and all those that pledged for making this a successful start to the ACLGA season.
